Name: Todd Gallagher
Age:
31
Occupation: Process
Superintendent for Entergy
Quiver:
Titus Motolite
Favorite Trail: Syllamo (Jack’s Branch is probably my favorite of the 5) or Tsali in North Carolina…or maybe some others…too many to choose from!
Favorite Race: I’ve only raced 5, but so far I like NW Arkansas Championships at Devil’s Den
Best Finish: 1st
at the Bear Creek Challenge at Daisy SP
Favorite Riding Food: Shot Blocks and Kashi Granola Bars--Definitely not bratwurst (there’s a pretty good story involved there)
What are your riding goals? To move up to Sport Class and be able to compete, finish the Ouachita Challenge and Syllamo’s Revenge
Why do you ride? I love the outdoors, being in nature, staying in shape and also just love the adrenaline rush. Also the more I ride the more great people I seem to meet.
What advice would you give to a beginner rider? Realize that the better shape you get in, the easier and more fun it gets. Set a new, reachable goal each time you go out.
If you could upgrade anything on your bike what would it be?
Maybe a new, lighter wheelset
like the new Crossmax SLR’s. Might also be cool to push the shock and fork.
Worst Wipeout: Back in college I’d just bought my first “real” mountain bike freshly equipped with Ritchie Logic
clipless pedals (first time with clipless). We were heading down some whoop-de-doos
and I got a little too aggressive, bounced off one of the ramps and flipped upside down.
As I was flying through the air upside down, and still clipped in, I just remember thinking “this is gonna hurt.” I broke my nose but otherwise was intact and am still a chicken 11 years later when
it comes to jumping.
