Name: Lisa Evans
Quiver: Santa Cruz Superlite Julianna
Birthday/Age: 9/8/1971, 37
Occupation: Clinical Psychologist/UAMS
Faculty
Favorite Trails: Lake Leatherwood (Dam Overlook, Miner’s), Tsali, Dupont, Syllamo
Favorite Race: haven’t raced as of yet…
Best Finish: the ones in my dreams…
Favorite Riding Food: nuts of any
kind, CLIF shots
Riding Goals: Improve climbs, don’t kill myself on the downhills
Why do you ride: I love to ride.
I even kind of like crashing. I like dirt and mud. I love getting lost in the woods because my map
got too sweaty to read.
What kind of
advice would you give to beginner riders: start saving
for a nice bike (or 2 or 3…)
Worst wipeout: On a trail outside Seattle, near San
Juan Islands, on a steep downhill switchback, my front
hydraulic disc brakes busted and I went of the edge of the bench cut trail and somehow ended up with one foot clipped
in, dangling upside down off the cliff, held only by my ankle which was caught between the side of the hill and a log. Ouch.
