June 14, 2008
Clayton, Jeff, Richard and Brad went on a 62 mile road bike ride for the Tour de Rock the proceeds
of which benefited CARTI. They had people at 4 different check points with fruit, water, nut bars, pickles, gatorade,
etc. The day started off kind of dismal, it was raining, so we were soaked to the bones for the first 15 miles, then
it quit raining and stayed cloudy pretty much all day. We were going at a pace of 14 to 18 miles an hour. If Richard
was leading, we were going about 18 miles an hour. It was kind of windy in spots but overall we had a good ride.
I am on the couch in recovery and Dee and Tori are waiting on me hand and foot. They are great. I was right, I
sat down when I got home and now I can hardly walk. Clayton was his usual encouraging self, keeping everyone going and
I think we were just holding Brad back, this was a walk in the park for him. Hey Brad how do you shave your legs and
not get razor burn. Anyway, I am going to try to create a blog spot on here for everyone to see, Let me know if you
have any suggestions. Congratulations to the Bell Biking Team, it appears that we have several teammates in the tops
of their respective classes. Good job. More later, Jeff

July 20, 2008 Fat
Tire Festival WOW! What a day. Richard passed out, I survived with a few minor
injuries and the rest of the Team brought home the Fat Tire Team Cup. It is a blessing to be on the same team with such
awesome riders. You guys are incredible. I will post the six members of the Team that gave us the total on the
points to win the cup, so someone get that info and send it to me. It appears that CARVE did not have the cup present
so I assume we will have to go confiscate it. From memory, and until the AMBCS points posting is official, I think
that the team finishes are Todd 2nd, Michael Haines 4th, Kevin 12th, Greg 2nd, Wes 3rd, Hannah 1st in 13-14 and 2nd in women
19-39, Robert 2nd. Not sure of the rest. So I assume some combination of those brought home the CUP. Great job
everyone and thanks to Richard and Lee for providing all the GOOD EATS! Also, we gave away a gas card for the rest
of the season to the team mate that traveled the furthest. So the winner was Michael Haines. See you guys
at the next race. Jeff
